I’m Anna King Shahab. I run my own company, Radish Media Ltd, which mostly sees me writing on food and travel for a whole host of magazines, newspapers and digital platforms, as well as editing, consulting and copywriting for clients. I come from a magazine background and further back, as a qualified English as a second language teacher I taught in school in both Auckland and London.
I live in Auckland, New Zealand with my husband and two children, and we love to travel; we head off as often as we can. More than just about anything in life, I enjoy eating, and more so, exploring new flavours and techniques from cuisines all over the world. I guess if you’re food-curious, travel is imperative and I’m very lucky my husband and kids share this trait.
I’m a child of the 80s and I just can’t shake that decade. I just love the panache, the pizzazz, the bold and frequently ridiculous aesthetic from that era, so occasionally I like to share brilliant examples of fashion, design and more from the not-so-distant past.
My photos are taken either on my iPhone 6 or Olympus EM10 mkII.
I love to collaborate, if you’d like to work on something together or have content you think would suit being published here, email me on firstname.lastname@example.org
And if you’re passionate about the food scene in Auckland and want to join a lively conversation around it, you’ll definitely want to join the Facebook group I co-manage: Lazy Susan
